Word Descrambler Released for iOS Devices

Nate Heagy has announced the release and immediate availability of Word Descrambler 1.0.1, a retro-styled app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Word Descrambler will find every possible word in a given Scrabble or Words with Friends tile rack. These are two of the most popular games on the App Store and both are anagram-style word games. However, most players can't find the optimal word to play, and usually not even close to it. With Word Descrambler players can perform far better than they normally would.

An avid Scrabble player himself, Nate Heagy, who never cheats, ever, even when pressured to do so, occasionally writes down the letters of his tile rack for later review. He found that existing apps to help find possible words were lacking. "Combinations of letters with many possibilities would fail to find every word," said Heagy, "missing the best words, which often start with letters near the end of the alphabet such as X and Q"

Word Descrambler features an advanced word sorting algorithm that examines every one of the 178,691 possible Scrabble words to always find the highest scoring possibilities.

Features:
* Always finds the best words, no matter how many letters or blank tiles are entered
* Runs on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch as a universal binary
* Multitasks on iOS 4, which will mean something when either Scrabble or Words with Friends adds similar support
* Available at launch for $0.99, or as a lite version for free

Pricing and Availability:
Word Descrambler 1.0.1 is only $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category. Word Descrambler uses the TWL06 dictionary, which is the official tournament Scrabble dictionary in the United States, Canada, and Thailand.
