Ingenious iPhone App that Breaks Down Barriers

Poscitech, a mobile healthcare start-up, has announced the worldwide launch of Fitaide Pro 1.0, a fitness application for iPhone or iPod touch devices. Fitaide Pro uses patent-pending technology and innovative features to help users find motivation, training and support in achieving their fitness goals.

"It's well established that lack of motivation is the primary barrier to fitness, even amongst those who are convinced of the need to improve", says Siva Raj, CEO Poscitech. "I used to train with a friend who was at my door 6 am each morning and that really helped when my motivation was flagging. So we built this feature in Fitaide Pro where you can exercise virtually with your friends, set a common goal, follow progress and even share on FB and Twitter."

Seeing early results is another big motivator and Fitaide Pro's cutting-edge technology creates a personalized cardio or interval training plan and uses the in-built 3D motion sensor to track users and cues them to change pace - ensuring they get to their goal. The app also captures improvement in users' fitness levels by estimating their VO2Max, gold standard measure of fitness.

Other motivational features include being able to train for an event (like a 5k run or Marathon) and promote a charitable cause - while keeping friends and supporters informed. An intuitive user interface, rich graphical displays and 3D Motion Sensor technology that automatically tracks calories, steps, distance, speed or pace, make this a must-have application for users at any level of fitness.

Pricing and Availability:
Fitaide Pro 1.0 is priced at $4.99 in the US or equivalent in other markets and is available exclusively through the App Store in the Healthcare & Fitness category.
