Detect Duplicate Files, Folders and Applications

Synium Software has released a new version of CleanApp, the popular uninstaller and system maintenance tool. Especially on mobile Macs, hard disk space is precious. Installing new software, downloading video files and creating your own documents all rightfully claim parts of the available space. There is, however, data that you can safely delete: files that aren't removed when you trash an application, cache files that are no longer needed, applications' localized versions for languages you don't speak, as well as files you created for onetime printout a few years back and won't ever need again.

CleanApp 3.4 introduces the Duplicate Files feature: scan for duplicate files and applications, as well as empty folders anywhere on your system. This release adds support for files created in PathFinder and brings several bug fixes and performance improvements.

As a fully featured maintenance tool, CleanApp can remove Preference Pane items, plugins and widgets, as well as language files and caches. Remove and archive entire applications including all assigned files so you can see if uninstalling that application has any negative effects on the performance and reliability of your system. Transfer this archive file to your backup system and restore the application with all required files and folders or reverse the uninstallation on your main system at any time.

CleanApp's Logging Service automatically collects data about which files and folders are created during the installation of a new application. The CleanCommunity feature, however, allows you to identify assigned files even if they were created before you started using CleanApp. The community server collects information about the files created during installation from all participating users and shares that information when you tell CleanApp to uninstall the same application.

Main features:
* Identify large files in the graphical Disk Usage view
* Delete applications with CleanApp and choose from the files it suggests for deletion with that application
* Have the Logging Service run in the background and track all file creations and modifications
* Remove the PowerPC or Intel components from Universal Binaries
* Delete unused language packs
* Get uninstall information from the CleanCommunity and profit from other users' uninstallation experience
* Exclude applications from logging
* Save archives to CD/DVD and restore them at any time

Pricing and Availability:
CleanApp 3 is available for $15 (USD) from our webstore. CleanApp 3.4 is a free update for existing users. Registration codes of any prior version will automatically work with CleanApp 3.
