Nordic Countries Could Get the iPad Soon

Apple could be launching the iPad in the Nordic countries soon, according to information from telecom operators, the WSJ reports.

Tre, TeliaSonera, Tele2,and Telenor all said Friday that they will offer data subscription packages exclusively for the iPad, giving iPad users internet connectivity through their respective networks.

Bengt Olsson, head of communications at TeliaSonera, told Dow Jones Newswires that they will not sell the iPad and only offer subscriptions.

"As things look right now, we will only offer subscription packages for the iPad," he said. "The iPad launch is imminent and we plan to release our subscription offer in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Demark simultaneously," he said.
